I used one of FantasyStock ‘s photos again in the first few panels. The backgrounds featured after Maeye and Aray leave the camp are hand painted by me.
Arayanna: And where are you off to, little one?

Arayanna: Maeye, are you all right?
Maeye: Yea. Just can't sleep.

Arayanna: Are you nervous about tomorrow?
Maeye: I guess so. I've never been in a real fight before.

Arayanna: You do not have to fight. You can stay behind and guard the horses.

Maeye: While you risk your life for my family?!? No thank you. I may be scared but I am not a coward.
Arayanna: Maeye, I meant no offense.
Arayanna: I just...

Arayanna: I just...
Arayanna: I... I do not want anything bad to happen to you.
Maeye: I don't want anything bad to happen to you either, but I don't think I can protect you like you protect me.
Arayanna: You are much stronger than you think.

Maeye: So we stick together?
Arayanna: Yes. We stick together.

Maeye: Maeye and Arayanna versus the world.
Arayanna: I like the sound of that.
And that soul pet? that heals when needed.
Do you mean Fiet?
Oh, you mean “Maeye and Arayanna and whatever healed them that time against the world”? 🙂
If Maeye isn’t carefully, that scrap of material pretending to be a bra will fall off (it’s not too far from it already, one big breath and down it falls 😀 )
Yea. Very soon, Maeye is going to learn the value of practical clothing and armor in combat. For now, she’s just lovely to look upon. 😀

Yes – Ryder is patroling on watch. Convienant plot device to let Maeye slip away. 😀 Originally I had all four of them sleeping, but then I thought how stupid would it be to be out in the wilderness in a place where giant minotaurs are killing and kidnapping left and right and not have a guard posted? LOL. Thanks for the compliments. I am going to post the final panel full rez soon.
Is Maeye’s name pronounced “May”? “Mai”? “May-yeh?” “Mai-yeh”? “Mai-yah”? “Ma-ey-yah”? Just want to be able to think it the way everyone in the story is saying it…
It is pronounced May. Arayanna is pronounced air-ray-anna, but when Maeye calls here Aray, it comes out airy.

Thank you, guys. And the coolest part about it is the fact that it is 100% hand panted. 🙂 Actually, everything other than Maeye, Aray, the blanket, and the rocks they are sitting on are hand painted. And, to add a little extra dash of cool, the rocks they are sitting on are 3D objects also created by Prentil Studios. If we can ever get the release packages figured out we will put them out as a freebie, but for now, they are my own personal cool-ass prop. 😀

Computer seemed to settle down a little last night after a couple of dozen driver installs and uninstalls and reinstalls. So far, no explosions, but there is an oddly fist sized dent in the side of the case right now. Not sure where that came from….
And yes, the new avatar is my jackolatern for this year. I was going to do this creepy haunted house thing I found on line and then changed my mind at the last second and went with a traditional scary face. Think I will run my smoke machine through him this year. That should come out super creepy. 😀
Ok folks PC seems to be holding, so tomorrow I am gonna work my ass off on the next page. Keep your fingers crossed, sacrifice some chickens, dance naked around a fire (Keena :)) or whatever it is you do for luck and pass it my way if you don’t mind. 😀

About half way done the rendering and only 25% done post work/lettering. It’s gonna be a few days before I get this finished. So, I think tonight I will post a little teaser to hold you all over.
