So what I am thinking is posting a series of images centered around one of our supporting characters in the Vote Incentives. The images would be a single panel each – so it will not detract from the work that goes into the main comic – but would still be a linear story about that character. Incentives would be posted every other week, opposite from the comic pages, so we would get something new every week.
My other idea is to post requests. I would randomly choose a name from the list of people who have commented and you would get to request any image of any character or characters. There would be some restrictions on content of the requests, but not many.

While would like to see more (in more than one sense
) of Fiet and slash or Sha’, they are kinda sorta semi-regulars in the main story, so would like to see more of Aray’s sister
…Hm. I have noticed a tendency over time, in many webcomics, for the author to produce better and better characters as they improve, until the main characters of the comic are rather left behind. I am dearly fond of Maeye and Aray, but this poll reminded me of that tendency…
That said, I voted for Dunverys, because she does interesting stuff far away, and a gaiden arc about her serves both as a break from and information about the main thread
I voted for Dunverys, too. If I had any spare time left in my life I would be doing a comic about her and her struggles to defeat the demon invasion on Earth. The story is entitled This Wicked Earth. Came up with the requests idea in my sleep last night. (Yes, I work on this in my sleep…) Would have to come up with a way to determine who has voted then do a quick random selection – win gets to request what they want.
Votes so far seem in favor of sticking with the main characters. I suspect that many readers are afraid that working on a side story will take time away from that which you have available to work on the main tale. Given that it takes weeks for an update as it is, that is certainly a valid concern.
That’s a really good point. I think I am going to explain what I am planning a little better, and then reset the votes.
