I think both Hudlin and Seraphi would enjoy watching. I mean, I’m sure they oversee the mating process all the time, back on the ranch. They’d surely get a kick out of watching these two fine fillies in action.
Seraphi obviously got worked up earlier, while giving the ginger filly a good rubdown. (I just hope that wasn’t the sponge she uses on the horses) xD
Amazing details with the scenery, lighting and of course the facial expressions. Even picked up on the subtle way Aray’s reflection was showing in Dun’s armor in panel 13.
Seraphi looks quite intrigued with the happenings in the last few panels. Perhaps now she is thinking, “Well now…never mind telling me about your power, tell me all about you and your girlfriend!” 😀
I was really happy with the way Dun’s armor turned out. You would think these things would work all the time, since it is really just a bunch of dials and settings, but they don’t. This time it came out right. 🙂
I am honestly not sure where Seraphi is going to fit into things, but I do think she would fit quite beautifully between Aray and Maeye. 🙂
She could, and I think will, be a friend for Aray and Maeye. She could also be a (field)medic for the whole group. Besides that she can play music at parties.

The flashback occured many years ago and between then and now she got the tattoos and other things you have seen on the previous pages. A lot can happen from time to time.
Yes. This flashback occurred before she got her tattoos. It is very difficult to try to make a 3D model look younger. I also made her face a little fuller, her breasts are smaller and the scar on her shoulder is gone.
Aray is the older sister. Dad was looking for anyone to continue the bloodline after their older brothers were killed. Aray was the only one left who was able.
Okay, must have missed that, was under the misstanding that Aray was ‘chosen’ because Verys wasn’t able to (can’t remember if it was because of an injury physically preventing her or if was because she had disappeared through a portal… butt, didn’t that attack and trip through a portal involve both sisters? and Aray lost track of Verys somewhere between Earth and Prentil?)
If I understand correctly, then it goes like this:
Brothers are expected to inherit, then Aray then Dun but the girls are too far down the line of succession.
Dun gets herself warrior-modded, rendering herself sterile in the process. (I do wonder if males go sterile from the same mods…)
Brothers die. Aray would normally be passed over in favor of someone whose temperament jives with such a legacy. But Dun can’t carry on the legacy, Aray is the last option before considering aunts/uncles(then cousins then byblows). So the responsibility settles on Aray’s shoulders.
Darekun is right on this one. Dunverys underwent voluntary physical changes to make her a more efficient warrior. One of the side effects of these changes is sterility. There is a possibility that the changes can be reversed, as they are applied/unapplied magically, but the reversal is not always successful and most individuals lose interest in childbirth and long term relationships once the changes are enacted.
Aray’s father’s statements about her being the last were just that. Dunverys was voluntarily sterile, Aray’s two brothers were killed in the war, so Aray was the last. Had Dunverys still been able to conceive children, he most likely would have had the conversation with them at the same time. He doesn’t care who carries on the bloodline…just that someone does.
“In a matter (or manner) of speaking” is actually another way of saying “so to speak” or “in a way”.
It means that what you just said is true but not exactly/fully true. Like when you want to say something but can’t find the right words to tell everything at once.
Er, I know what “in a manner of speaking” means as a canned phrase, but it also means that as individual words, the listener doesn’t need to know the canned phrase. “In a matter of speaking”, to me, doesn’t work as individual words. But that doesn’t mean it doesn’t work for others, in which case they know something I don’t, and I’d like to know :J
Also, why is Aray so pale when her mother and sister are not
While it could be argued that Verys is tanned because she spends so much time outside, that doesn’t explain the Queen…
That’s not as hard as it “sounds” like you think; if each parent is a hybrid of someone super pale and someone medium-brown, then their kids will normally vary over that spectrum. With the right demographics and a marriage-alliance tradition… :J
The stupid ass queen is supposed to be more pale than she is. But after a dozen freakin renders I gave up. So, officially, as of now, Aray get’s her coloring from her grandmother that no one will ever see!
I don’t think so. If you look at panel 11 then you see the 3 of them lining up beside each other and if you draw a line above their head or shoulders then you’ll see they’re almost the same height, give or take a few inches/cm’s.
In the 12th panel Queenie looks smaller than both daughters but she walks away downhill.
I am going to start a new web comic. It is going to be called “I Fucking Hate Computers”. In this comic, this guy is going to run around and beat the fuck out of every computer he can find. If he happens to come across a computer and an NFL referee at the same time, when then shit gets real ugly.
It does has a bit of irony in it. You’ll start a new web comic about hating computers but, you’ll need a computer to create it. I’m curious how he will attack and/or destroy the computers.

Two typos in the second panel: Hud saying “…took care of your after the battle…” and Sera saying “It was my please…”
A third typo in the first panel: “…in a matter of speaking…” should be “…in a manner of speaking…”. But that’s a confusion many people make.
