Not exactly the rightful Queen. As will all royal bloodlines, there are branches and such, but Maeye is definitely going to flip her pretty little lid when she finds all of this out. And there is more…
I would love to see a scantily clad Maeye slouching on the throne of Vridhan, totally blinged out with the royal jewels, with the crown set around her uncle’s hat. Aray would be sitting beside her, less scantily clad, with good posture, a respectable amount of jewelry, and a matching crown. (but no hat) xD Oh! The throne would be widened into a royal love-seat.
Optional: Maeye would have a baby bulge, and Kraghen would be laying propped on his side, chained at their feet in a Princess Leia slave dress. XD XD
Is it possible that the spirits don’t have their full spiritual power when they’re not actually summoned? I don’t remember if this was previously clarified.
Magic works differently on different worlds. We’ll get into that whole construct later on. But in Sha’ag’s case, she has super speed, extra strength, and tougher than average skin. She can also seduce people or groups of people.
In some worlds, she can shift her level of corporality (is that a word?), but other she cannot. In Prentil, where she is summoned, she is half spirit half flesh and needs blood to stay there. In her home world, which Dalleon magically shifted to Norriell, she is fully corporeal so has to be more wary of physical damage. So, she did use her magical speed to dodge the arrows. π
Corporality is indeed a word meaning:
βthe quality or state of being or having a body or a material or physical existenceβ.
With existence and reality as synonyms.
Well, that was unexpected… Maeye is the rightful Queen of Prentil as a direct descendant of the Vridhan family, which explains her talent for magic. But if a wandering Gypsy is the true Queen, what happened to her biological family? Are they dead? Imprisoned? Worse? Also, what has been going through Kraghen’s mind to think this was in any way a good idea? Not good with people or not, he should have realised Maeye would kill him if she found out what he’d done-and she would, she’d never stop until she found out the truth. Which makes his attempted sex with Maeye a bit back rape more than anything-only Maeye was too strong and kicked him off. I can’t help but wonder if all of this is connected to Arayana’s 100-year “sleep”, too. Somebody betrayed and Cursed her, could whatever happened to the royal family of Prentil be connected? Hmm…
As with any family, there are branches to the royal blood. There were originally 6 brothers and 6 sisters to the royal family. They all had their families and not everyone remained within the royal court.
Maybe instead of saying the blood had to be pure I should have gone with a certain percentage? Hmm. I think I fix this…
Pure royal blood. I think you can get that straight from a person of the royal family. But to get it from one of the descendants they have to be offspring from a brother and sister (or nephew and cousin, …) of the same royal family, otherwise it would be half royal blood.
Basically, the true blood line comes from the original people that populated Prentil. There was a line or a race of people from their home world that had magical powers. Those people became the royalty of Prentil when they settled on this island.
Thousands of years? At 20-50 generations per millennium it should be harder to find someone who ISN’T a direct descendant on this island by now (except for immigrants like Arayanna) than to find someone who IS.
Wait wait wait, roving Gypsy Maeye, is the rightful Queen!?!?
Hoo bubba! She’s gonna go nuts when she finds out! π
gonna be spectacular sight… π
Indeed!

LOL! You are killing me!
Umm, has Sha’ag forgotten she’s magical? Or is she in a world without magic? Or… okay, completely lost here

So, it’s like Kryptonian’s being powerless on Krypton? o_O

That makes sense

Hah! And I thought I was making shit up. π
“Not Really Good With People.”
… That’s putting it mildly.
Yea. I thought that was pretty funny. We’ll learn more about Krag’s social ineptitude on the next page.
well… Krag didn’t disappoint… π cheers to that!
I am glad you are pleased. I am always up for cheers!
Sha’ag you might want to try stapling that hat on. Indy did.
Uhm, wasn’t that Deadpool?
Indiana Jones http://www.thisisnotporn.net/2016/10/23/harrison-ford-37/
I am cracking up at that URL. π
LOL! I need to search for a stapler model!

Yeah, that’s why he didn’t go through with it

Am I right ?

Inbreeding, not just an American institution π
LOL!
Yea…”thousands” does make it difficult, although we will find out soon that it would not necessarily mean that many generations.
Hmm… so Maeye might have a greater remaining life expectancy than Aray… maybe?
I can’t tell – did Aray draw weapons on Krag? My brain can’t process the final panel for some reason.
She has her dagger in her right hand, it’s just difficult to see with the angle in the last panel, butt it’s there in all the others she is in
I see it now, cheers.
Yup!
