If Aray gets loose, she’ll tear off Rosata’s lower jaw and skin that bronze-domed freak alive with her own teeth. If Maeye arrives to find Rosata torturing Aray and Fiet, she’ll do something so nasty that Rosata will wish someone would just rip off her jaw and skin her alive with her own teeth.

I am confused as to how Aray and Fiet still are able to communicate telepathically when Aray no longer has the belly button ring that acts as the focus. Isn’t that what connects the two in the first place which is why Rosata is able to command Fiet now?
The ring is simply what’s used to summon Fiet, Aray and Fiet are bonded so can communicate telepathically
Rosata can control Fiet to an extent. Rosata’s control has to be active – meaning she has to consciously control Fiet’s actions – which means Fiet is able to do things covertly that Rosata is not aware of…like communicate telepathically with Aray…or…what she is about to do next. 😀
