Maeye: No way!! You're not going anywhere without me.
Maeye: Besides, how would you possibly find your way back. We were lost in those caves for hours.
Arayanna: Let us just say I have a very good sense of direction.

Wow! Mae’s short-shorts barely survived: the left side is hanging on by just a few threads (curse those threads, curse them!!)
Those stupid shorts never did fit her right. You would be amazed at how much post work has gone into those damned things. I got fed up and decided it was time for them to go, so they were destroyed in the fight/fall.
@Guesticus be careful of what you wish. Young women in their early 20’s tend to be strong unconscious magic users. After surviving a wolf fight and trying to fly without wings she might get unhappy if her shorts fell apart. I have a sneaking feeling Maeye could well be related to Arayanna a few generations removed. Obviously they are both “Elder Blood” add that to being raised by a Gypsy “Uncle” who was overly cautious of her and Magic being illegal at this time and place, I suspect there may be a hidden race on this Island that doesn’t want to be found.
Some very good insights, and some are close to the mark. 🙂 All will be revealed in time.
So I need to do something about my release schedule here. I am struggling each week to make a Thursday release, and missing the date more often than not. I find I am cutting some corners and not putting as much effort into some of the manual painting that I would like.
I think I have two choices. I can either change the release schedule to every other week, or I can put less in each page and release every week. Personally, I prefer the former. Most of the other 3D web comics around are putting 3 -5 panels in each page where as I am pushing 10 – 12. I like adding more detail and giving a bigger chunk of the story with each release, so I would prefer to stay with the larger pages, but I do think I need to give myself some time to do these things right.
What do you all think?
Top quality (and creators mental/physical wellbeing) is more important than pushing for a schedule that puts any of that at risk
Maybe cut back to fortnightly so you can work healthily, maybe even build up a bit of a buffer so you can return to a weekly schedule as a bonus month or something. But, imo, the mostest importantest thing is that you don’t burn out (mentally or physically)
*Raises Hand* If we had our druthers a page a day 7 days a week would be about right. However, we realize that isn’t possible sooo; I have not seen any evidence of poor quality here, that said I realize those with the creative muse on their shoulders are their own worst critics, I also realize pushing yourself to meet a schedule where you feel you are not producing quality work leads to burnout and Hiatus that becomes a never ending story. I want to see this keep up to completion or at least til Maeye and Arayanna have their magical “Love Child”that assumes the quest for what lies beyond the veil of storms from them and goes on to conquer the world and restore magic. So if you need to pace yourself so mote it be my friend. *Resumes standard quite unassuming lurker position in corner*
BTW Very perky little Goth get up you have our resident Elf in for voter incentive. BTW from the Body Markings (OEM Factory Equipment as an Elf would never allow tattoos on their body) I assume Arayanna is a a wood nymph. (Her thoughts and words certainly point to a nymph of another variety, but there’s nothing that says she can’t be both kinds.)
Arayanna definitely has a goth streak. She loves black leather and tall boots.
Arayanna’s elves are a bit different than many of the classic Tolkien or D&D elves. (I put my own personal spin on just about everything.) Where she is from, most of the elves of her generation have a tattoo that represents them and/or their chosen profession. Elvish tattoos are begotten through magic, not through the traditional fine art of piercings ones skin with an ink soaked needle repeatedly for hours on end, so they can be changed or removed at any time, if one has the proper magic. In her home land, Arayanna was a naturalist and a horticulturalist as her tattoos represent.

Thank you for all of the support, guys. We will move to an every other week release schedule. Hopefully, I can knock some real life projects out of the way and just get better at this in general, and then some day soon get us back to every week.
Even with a less often schedule, I will still check for new pages by clicking the bookmark, seeing that it is not yet a new page and clicking the vote button anyway because it deserves a vote. Cheers.

i would say move to a page every other week. i like the level of detail and i would hate to see this moved to an inactive status because you get burned out and overwhelmed by it all. so by all means keep it comming and on a regular but easier to handle schedule.

There are a few reasons, one of the main ones being I do not want to copy anything anyone else is doing (like TK’s Flitter).
But don’t worry, she is still going to be fun (and naked).
So, that rules out a cross-over (even just as an invotive) between Fiet and Flitter? 🙁

My Bird watching has a tendency to put more meat in the freezer.Quails,Turkeys,Pheasants,etc. look beautiful and taste really good (if you know how to BBQ/Bake/Broil/Fry them right).

Heya folks. My town was hit pretty hard by the winter storms this past week. Lots of trees down and power outages. We managed to keep power throughout, but we are hosting some friends who have not had power since Tuesday. So, that’s cutting into production time a good bit this week. The page is coming along. I will have it done and up by Sunday. Thank your for your patience!
Winter storms are NOT fun, last biggie I had was ice a few years ago was w/o power4 days only thing that really kept the lid on was Hardees three blocks down the street had power, could get Coffee, Wal-Mart had power and was letting people stay inside there as long as they didn’t block aisles.
Well out here it is sunday now so time is runnin out.
