It’s as if I’m looking at Arayanna’s barbaric side in full action. Never thought that she has that in her. I know that she got help to do that but still.
There was enough vengeance piled up. Once she had the physical strength, nothing and noone was able to stop her.
I just hope the other people in the house weren’t collateral fatalities. Those would cause trouble later.
Also, the gift of the Tonquai comes with a tendency towards solving your problems with fists and…dismemberments and the like.
Fairly sure everyone in that building were part of the same gang, or at least affiliated with it
May still be ‘trouble’ later, but no innocent loses (can’t just go around wiping out murderous gangs on your own, what are the guards going to do now?)

Was kinda hoping she would have stuck around, hope we can at least get a back-story for her, find out why Aray hates her so much (she was the bitch who stranded Aray on that planet, right?)
Book 2 will be the entire back story of Arayanna and Rosata. What we know of her so far is she put Arayanna under a spell that left Arayanna sleeping for nearly 150 years so that she could steal Kiergielle.
Two minor art quibbles (which is probably more a limitation of the software being used than the artist using it)
Ms Janus in the third panel: the flesh around the neck should be ripped at least a little (flesh may be supple and stretch, but not that much without tearing, specially the muscles and tendons underneath)
Looks more like Rosa had him limbs (including head) cut off cleanly rather than forcibly ripped apart
Again, probably software limitations and me being a little gore-picky 😛

Suddenly, along comes the City Watch, sees Arayanna, and goes, “Monster! Attack!!”
So, to be totally honest, that is how I originally scripted out the chapter – a big fight and chase sequence. But, I’m gonna skip it. This chapter has dragged on long enough. I think we need to get some closure and move on.
Plus, Aray would be wrecking innocent city guards just trying to do their job, and I am not down with that.
There were also a couple of panels where Aray throws Rosata’s head, it sails up over a wall, and then lands on a vendors cabbage cart and then he jumps around and goes “My cabbages!!!”. But that got cut too. 😀
I’m just imagining what’s going through Seydah’s head.
“I engaged Aray in mortal combat in the arena…. and she didn’t kill me! “

Somehow Photoshop has caught on that I have been using a pirated copy for about 20 years. I guess it’s time to start paying. :/
Well, that took a lot of time before Photoshop (or Adobe) knew that you’ve been using a pirated copy. But at least you know the program very well and what it can do so, win-win.
Yea. I guess I owe them some money at this point. LOL. Hopefully the new version is not too different. I’ve been on CS5 forever.
