Um, what happened to the cuts on Aray’s chest in panels 7 and 8?
Otherwise, good page, lousy situation. 😛
Thank you! Yea, looks like I am missing a couple of layers. I’ll fix it up tonight. Thank you for pointing it out.
Good, we didn’t get to see if the demon summoner had a protection from arrows spell … pretty sure that demon doesn’t though ~ hope it gets turned into a pincushion soon …
He needed a protection from fists spell. 🙂 One of my long term D&D characters was an archer (named Feori, by the way. :)). I have a deeply ingrained hatred for the ever-cowardly protection from arrows spell. 🙂
Nice effort Aray, but should have gone for the neck or the spine
You’re right, of course, but the heart wants what the heart wants…
What? o_O
It’s dark, and she is only semi-conscious. Cut the girl some slack on her aim. 😀 I actually tried to show that it was an attempt at a shot to the spine that was just slightly off the mark.
Actually thought she tried for the heart from the back
Hmmm, thought Maeye ‘borrowed’ the dress from the mysterious Minox owner, but it’s not quite the same (looks great wet though 😉 )
In case it’s difficult to tell, that’s a wink at the end
It is not quite the same dress, but it is very similar. The wet look was fun to work with. I rendered the scene once with the dress, then rendered it again without the dress, layered the two renders on top of each other, then slowly erased the dress from the places where the dress would touch the skin. I think it came out really cool.
Fantastic sequence. At first I thought that there should be a hint at the previous page that Aray would be waking up soon, but her presence at the right place from nowhere boils the blood of the reader. Now, who is coming to her help?
Maeye, of course
Thank you! There is actually a panel missing from this page that would give us a hint of who is coming to help next. I did not realize it was missing until I read your comment. I really need to fire my editors.
Speaking of editors, they forgot about the missing blood on Aray in panels seven and eight (seven is a little difficult to see the wound area, but not eight)
Was trying to spot Gus on this page, but couldn’t find him, but did notice that Minox in front of the cages fading out in blue lights
Yea! That’s cause there’s a whole freakin panel missing. I need to stop working on this stuff for 12 hours straight and then publishing. LOL.
This is actually pretty damned funny. I am now recalling how I got to the last panel and was off by one and could not figure out how I messed up the count. So I just figured I screwed up (not realizing I was forgetting an entire panel that was completely rendered and post-worked) so then I made up the second to last panel to make the layout fit. I think I’ll fix this up tonight and repost.
The face palm always makes me laugh. Although it is usually Aray over something Maeye did or said. 😀 Speaking of Maeye, the incentive is quite lovely.
I love the face palm gag. Nothing else captures complete exaperation quite like a face palm. 🙂
There is a continuity error. Panel 8 seems to be missing some wounds on Arayanna’s chest, possibly 7 as well.
Thank you for pointing that out. I will fix it tonight.
Even though she’s all beat up, Aray looks sexy as hell in that last panel. Might have to render that pose in a happier situation.
ouch
OK. All fixed. 🙂
Hmmm, thought Gus (and their friend) were on the other side of the room
How much trouble would it be to do a quick top-down view of that room showing the locations of everyone and everything?
