Maeye: So, you got your fancy stick... Now what?
Arayanna: Well, I would very much like to find Kiergeile. Would you help me with that?
Maeye: Of course. You are stuck with me now, m'lady.
Arayanna: Now don't you start that, too!

Maeye: OK. So we're off to find your lost sword that was, as far as you know, stolen from you by an evil witch about 100 tears ago.
Arayanna: Yup. That about sums it up.
Maeye: And... any idea how we would go about accomplishing this?
2b.
Arayanna: Well, in the Prentil I knew, I would simply find a scrying mage, pay a reasonable fee and they owuld point me in the right direction. But, now that magic in all forms -- no matter how useful or potentially life-saving that magic me be -- is a crime punishable by death, I haven't the slightest clue.
3a.
Maeye: I know! We can go to Foyyt!
Arayanna: Foyyt?
Maeye: Yea. If there is anywhere in Prentil that people ignore the law, it's Foyyt. So it stands to reason that if we were to find someone who still practices this scrying you speak of, then they would most likely find them in a place where they would no instantly get their head chopped off for doing so.
3b.
Arayanna: OK, Foyyt it is. But that means we need to get to the north side of the mountains. What is the best way to get there?
4a.
Maeye: Well, the shortest route would be to go over the mountains. But, it will be cold, the passes are rough, Nd we will have to watch out for ogres and wraithwails.
Maeye: Or, we could go around the mountains to the east. If we hurry we could stop in Bentl and catch the harvest festival. But by the time we get up around the mountains it will be winter and we will be in for some rough weather near Slogat.
Maeye: Or we go west through the Vridhan territories.
4b.
Arayanna: OK. What are the downsides of the Vridhan route?
Maeye: Well, they can be pretty stuck up around Vridhan and they do not like...
Maeye: ... um ...
5a.
Arayanna: They do not like what?
Maeye: Mutants.
Arayanna: Mutants?!?
Maeye: It's your ears, Aray. I think they are unique and beautiful, but I do not think the fine people of Vridhan will agree with me. And despite supposedly being civilized amd all that crap, they can be quite unpleasant to those they think are different.
5b.
Arayanna: Maeye, I refuse to live my life in fear of people's prejudices. Besides, I could always borrow your hat.
6a.
Arayanna: OK. So our choices are. The mountain route, fastest but also the most dangerous.
Arayanna: The east road -- longest but the least dangerous and includes the added bonus of a Bentl harvest festival.
Arayanna: And the west road, which is relatively safe except fpr the fact that someons might mistake me for a mutant and try to burn me alive.
6b.
Arayanna: What do you think we should do?

I think she looks great, and reasonably protected. You would think that Maeye would have learned the value of armour after getting her butt kicked a few times, but I guess not. 🙂 At least she’s wearing pants.
Looks like Maeye picked up some light arm protectors as well, and as for the wearing pants thing I can only say, “For how long?” 🙂

Heya folks. I added a new city description today. I figured if you all were going to vote for us to go to Bentl or Vridhan, you might want to know what that means. 🙂 Bentl is up and I hope to have Vridhan up tomorrow.
I voted for the east road (thanks chrudim – I never would have realized where the actual poll was without your comment); there isn’t a lot of urgency after a hundred years so why risk cutting the dangerous mountains or passing through a whole nation of possible foes?

I think the east road is the most reasonable choice as well and it looks like it is going to win out. There would have been some good monster fights and great mountain scenery on the northern pass, but we’ll have some fun going to Bentl too.
