Hmmmm! No blood on the Lady’s attire after cutting her opponent’s carotid artery and the jugular vein, …both???!!! Anyone doing that would see just how much pressure those blood vessels withstand. She really should have her front and face drenched in her enemy’s steaming blood for realism.
Anyone who’s ever stuck a hog for the Christmas ham knows a bit about how much blood, under how much pressure there is in a human body. Of course, since a pig goes on all fours while humans stand upright, and must push blood from their feet back up to their heart, our pressures are higher.
I actually thought about that. I think there should probably be some blood splatters on the ground, too. But, by the next page the gang will be be cleaned up and moving on, so I doubt I will go back and change it. But we’ll see. There are a couple of other problems in the page that I am tempted to fix.
Keep in mind, though, that the bald guy was dead already. That first spear had likely already punctured, if not a lung, then at least some major blood vessels. The man was bleeding internally. I do believe this was mentioned by a commenter a few posts back.
Adrenaline got baldie as far as getting another flying pointy stick in his torso. After THAT – you’ll notice all he can really do is stand up, groan, and sway back and forth.
The only ‘idiot’ here is a certain bald ogre-spawn: instead of stabbing his colleague and tossing him into Ryder and losing a weapon, he could have tossed the guy into Ryder and still had the weapon
Also, guess it was his turn to find out what a broken nose feels like (before he gets his throat slashed)
Until that last panel, thought he was going to get a ‘Joker smile’ (would have still killed him and would have looked cooler)
The arrow is really missing, but when you read pages 6 and 7 together, they leave the impression of a 70 seconds fight, from the beginning to the broken nose. I found this notion of time that the drawings convey very thrilling and realistic.
Yeah, sometimes it helps with understanding the flow if you go back and read in a single ‘bite’
Just look at “Grrl Power”, the big fight with Fedorka has been going on for a month or so ‘real time’, but ‘actual time’ has only been a few minutes from the time he pounded Maxi’s nose the first time

You mean like the disappearing arrow in the last panel? o_O
Ah – the ogre’s new knee arrow – I missed that it was missing ’til you pointed it out…

“GRRR, I used to be a vicious thug, but then.. I took an arrow to the knee!”
..couldn’t resist.
I actually cannot imagine how much that would hurt! I think I would rather take the spear in the shoulder.
You know that’s the infamous line from the Skyrim game, right?
You do know that it was a thing in “Wapsi Square” long before ‘Skyrimmer’, right?
I did not know that. I got bored with Skyrim after a while. I have to find that part.
The return of the aqua flash (wonder if the others saw it, probably not, they were busy with their own things)
