This is awesome!!! Hopefully Aryanna get her shit figured out soon or Maeye isn’t going to be happy.
Thank you! Very glad you liked it!
Aray seems less awesome than normal, so far, in this fight. And it seems that next panel she’ll be injured. I wonder how fresh the injuries need to be for Maeye’s healing powers to do any good.
I think Seydah is surprising Aray with her also-awesomeness. We will have to see if Aray can get herself together and turn these tables.
Hmm, I double checked, I don’t see any typos. Congrats!
LOL! Well, there were only like 10 words on the whole page. 😀
Knee to the face, Aray! Knee to the face. She can’t change the trajectory of her head in a short fall. Just raise your knee and put it in the way.
Actually just a quick roll out of the way and her opponent will not like body-slamming the ground.
Rolling out of the way wouldn’t result in her “body-slamming the ground.” It might be an uncomfortable landing, but all four of her limbs are free to control the landing. If Arya’s knee (or both knees) suddenly jerked up into the fall-line of her opponent’s face, the distance would be too short to block, avoid getting a knee to the head, or otherwise avoid the consequences of an ill-considered attack.
The way she’s launched herself seems like she’s trying for an elbow smash. If Aray suddenly isn’t there she’d better have the reflexes to recover or her landing is going to be painful.
Not as painful as a knee to the face
That is a very likely reaction to someone in Aray’s situation, I think. 🙂
A most excellent suggestion!
Was gonna mention the lifting of the knees if someone else hadn’t 🙂
Aray’s top is pretty much non-existant at this point… Not that I’m complaining.
Any yeah…. I thought Aray was a much better fighter than this.
Aray’s top will become even less existant in the next panel. 😀 I think we are just seeing the skills of a trained assassin in Seydah.
Maybe, but Aray had her by the waist. She lost control when she slid her hold up to the assassin’s neck. Never raise your center of gravity when you have control. She should have dropped her to the ground and THEN gone up for the Nelson.
Or, a series of rolling German Suplex
Yea – grappling really isn’t Aray’s thing. She just needs to get her head on straight before it gets knocked off.
Is Sey attempting the “Peoples’ Elbow”?
Aray has been to modern (current?) Earth, she’s seen that move a few times, just bet she never expected to be on the receiving end 😛
LOL!
Oldarmourer called it (almost) last page, about fighting in oil: rain-slicked sand is close enough
Yea. Super slippery. But fun to watch! 😀
Super slippery sand, to help it get places it shouldn’t easier 😛
LOL!!
