Maeye: You had a death grip on it when they brought you in. I only got you to let go after I had healed you and you finally fell into restful sleep.
Maeye: I didn't know how to get rid of it. I am sorry.

I really struggled with how to portray etherial vocals on the page. It was a tough one.
After the ‘OOO-AAA OO-AA-AAA’ finishes
I sincerely hope there’s a lot of ‘Ting-Tang’
and a few ‘Walla Walla Bing Bangs’ for good measure 😉
For that to work, the moan needs to include a “EEE”:
OOO-AAA OO-EEE-AAA—ting-tang wallawalla bing-bang.
The ‘AAA’ is silent 😉
I always heard it as OOO-EEE-OOO-AAA-AAA
of course, that’s the non ‘Chipmunks’ version 😉

Since that trinket gives super-speed, I’m imagining that OO AA thing is under a doppler effect as Fiet darts forward and backward.

I sort of forgot they had other business to do in this town. Can they pull this rescue off covertly enough to stay in the city and finish their other business, or do they need to flee the city this night? I have no idea at the moment, and I like it! 🙂

Oh, good lord. Aray with some kind of speed token. This in addition to her already preturnatural speed is going to be some glorious overkill. Maeve is going to charge it as hard as it can be charged and then Aray is going to take that sword and go through this place like a pointy tornado.

Can someone explain – what was that in the gauntlet?
The only magic that really remains on Prentil (with a few exceptions here and there) is Summoning magic. A Summoner calls for a spirit from a summoning token and has that spirit perform an act of magic on the Summoner’s behalf. The piece of polished bone that Aray found in the gauntlet was a summoning token.

Well, now they can have it back 🙂 .
Maybe it is the Trophy of The Match that the winner may keep so she can hang it on the wall with her other trophies. Or otherwise on a shelf if there is no more space on the wall.
I don’t think the Guardian knew exactly how his champion did what he could do, so he did not connect the hand with the anything special.
After Aray chopped off Trarg’s hand and won the match, she immediately fainted in the arena. When they picked her up to put her on a stretcher she refused to let go of the hand and noone really cared either way so she got to keep it.
Arayanna has this whole rescue deal sorted. She has a few… underhanded tricks of her own, no doubt.
