Bk1: Ch2: Pg20
Arayanna: Gentlemen, thank you for giving us a few minutes of privacy. Would you care to join us now?
1b.
Gus: It would be our pleasure.
Maeye: Zenlan, another round of ales for our friends, please.
Ryder: But I was telling my best dirty jokes.
Arayanna: And I will take an ale as well, but I do prefer reds over blondes if you have any.
2a.
Arayanna: So Maeye tells me we may have a common problem. You are also searching for someone who was taken from you?
Gus: Not from us directly. We are currently in the employ of Count Aderan Reed. His caravan was attacked by savage beasts and his daughter, Mi'yalla, was kidnapped.
Ryder: The good count has hired every blade and bow from here to the Coalwood to find her and get her back.
2b.
Arayanna: It seems we have suffered a similar fate as your Count Reed. We too were attacked on the road and two of our friends were kidnapped.
Arayanna: Would you care to join us when we go after these monsters?
Ryder: No offense, M'lady, but from what we heard, these creatures are dangerous. We don't want to have to be responsible for anyone's safety while we are on this hunt.
Maeye: Ha! No need to worry ablut us. Aray has already killed two of these things.
3a.
Gus: What is it that we are facing? The reports we have heard are both strange and conflicting.
Arayanna: Minox.
3b.
Gus: Minox!
3c.
Ryder: Hmph.
3d.
Gus: Please do not be offended by this question, but are you telling us that you have single-handedly killed two Minox?
Arayanna: I did kill one, but only by taking it by surprise. The other was crushed in a cave-in.
Ryder: Come on. You killed a Minox? Even with surprise on your side, that is quite a boast.
4a.
Maeye: Boast? Boast! Are you implying that we are lying?
Ryder: Well...
Ryder: ... if the greaves fit...
4b.
Ryder: Uh oh!
Wow – he insults her and she leaps into his arms!
Maybe I should try this technique – a few pummels would be a small price to pay…
LOL! Seriously. I’ll take a few punches from a beautiful girl if she is mostly naked and straddling me. 🙂
“Go for the eyes, Boo! Go for the eyes!”
Giant Space Hamsters FTW!
Lol!
So pleased it wasn’t Gus being the ass (and that Mae at least does not appear to be using her nail/claws) 😀
Insult my girl friend and pay the price oaf.
You were right, I got a kick out of this page for cetain. Hehe, love the “raaaaa” as Maeye leaps across the table to have at Ryder. Perhaps also some double entendre going on with Aray’s reds versus blondes line?! 🙂
Nice catch. 😀
Sorry we were down for a while there folks. My Comic Easel install crashed. Thankfully a re-install worked. I was worried I was going to have to rebuild from scratch.
Thanks you Keena for the head’s up. 🙂
I love the “uuuuh…Maeye…” look on Aray’s face in panel seven. And you can just see Gus going “fight! fight! fight!” in the last panel. 🙂
It is kinda like a, “whoa there girlie, simmer down” sorta look from Aray. 🙂 Gus does look quite enthralled by Maeye’s feisty leap to defend the honor of Aray’s fighting prowess or perhaps he is just enjoying her rear view – lol!
No problem on the heads up for the downtime. Glad you were able to get things back up and running without too much issue.
I still owe you that personal render. I have not forgotten. 🙂
Thank you for the update on that!
Feori, if the greaves fit? Love it 🙂
Haha! Thanks. 🙂
And interesting how none of them are even wearing greaves 😛
*lol* he had it coming 😀
Ah those negotiations over table…though it is usually understood diffrently.
Friends, I am truly sorry that I do not have a page ready yet. I have dedicated nearly every spare moment I have had these past few weeks to preparing for my belt test. The page is in progress, and I promise I will have more fun with Maeye and Aray and the gang up for you as soon as possible. I appreciate all of you and I thank you for your patience.
No worries, understand about Real World getting in the way/delaying things, still pop in every day just to see how things are
Thank you!
I agree with Guesticus. Certainly understand and continue to check the page regularly as well! Best of luck on the belt test!
Thank you!
I have not paid and so I have no right to complain. Well at least you know you are a bit wrong hanging us for a bit long.
Yep, she’s a red-head
Is that a comment on the volatility of redness, or are you lookin up her skirt? 🙂
lmao so feisty. considering apparently magic is banned which is usually one of the more common ways to equalize physical differences of strength between sexes i would assume female warriors would be uncommon
