So she is a summon, but she’s in town on her own, rather than at the behest of some master who summoned her. Further, she conducted the initial attacks, but the attacks that finished off her victims were not her doing. Finally, poor Aray ;_;
Why do I get the feeling Hillarc is involved in finishing off Sha’ag’s victims?
I have that same feeling about Hillarc. He just oozes evil doing from every pore. I want to smash his face in for what he is doing to Aray. he is so going to get his ass kicked…
So, not even a bucket of cold water for poor Bekha? And where’s Mae’s sword? It’s not in her hand or the scabbard. Just because it didn’t work on Sha’ doesn’t mean it won’t still come in handy.
Maeye’s sword is lying on the ground. She’ll pick it up before they leave this scene. 🙂
I do feel pretty bad about poor Bekha. I was struggling with fitting everything I needed to say on this page, so it comes off like Maeye is being pretty cold to Bek. But, I think I am just going to say that Maeye is mad that she was just swapping spit with Bek when she should have been focused on saving Aray, so yea….that’s what happened. 🙂 Bekha will be well taken care of in the next page or so.
Really don’t like seeing Aray like that, hoping that they rescue her and she gets to ‘play’ with that prick (please don’t let him get away, or have his death be quick)
Hillarc’s posture seems awkward here to me. He has his arm raised to Coup de’gras Array and then the last panel he seems to just… immediate 180° pivot. A more natural pose might have been to point at the interloper with the sickle.
It is a pretty extreme 180, but I think it was intended to show his high level of irritation and his willingness to threaten his own soldiers. Something like that….

He definitely is an evil sumbich. Let’s just hope Maeye get’s there before too much damage is done to Aray.
Yes. We will get more back story on Sha’ag and how she escaped her summoner in future pages.

Poor Bekha 🙁
We will make sure she is well taken care of, I promise. 🙂
They won’t leave Bekha, after retrieving Maeye’s sword they will carry Bekha to somewhere safe

I don’t like it either! I am really struggling with pacing these pages properly. I just want to get to the end of this chapter!
Sha’ag? You do realize her name sounds like “shag”, which is UK English slang for “fuck”. Tell this wasn’t intentional?
I do realize this, yes. 🙂
Sha’ag is a nickname. Her real name is long and complicated. But the reference to the British vernacular was intentional. Sort of a James Bond nod.
Fairly sure a few of us mentioned that already 😀
