Yeah… I also found the bottom panel just a bit creepy.
Here he was, burning his dead sister’s body. And here they are, drinking and seemingly having a merry good time.
I wonder what he’s thinking in the bottom panel. Perhaps he’s questioning why his dear sister had to die, while others get to live?
On the other hand, perhaps he’s contemplating life: Like seizing opportunities to make new friends and enjoying life to the fullest?
But I wonder why he didn’t ask them to join him in a moment of mourning. Granted, they just met and they never knew his sister. But going through a death in the family is hard enough without having to do it alone. Maybe he didn’t want to bring their spirits down?
It is nice. But it looks like Aray is sunbathing topless. And I have to wonder: Would catching rays like that give her a tan – or a sunburn? [shrugs shoulders] She is beautiful. But, she’s pale enough that many would take her for an albino… Just saying.
She is sunbathing topless (almost missed the teeny tiny ‘kini bottoms)
Regarding suntan or sunburn, personally guess is… neither, tan and burn are both signs of absorbing too much solar radiation (the tan is when the defensive measures are working to protect the skin and organs, the burn is when they aren’t working properly and the skin literally burns)
It seems like they were just giving him his space and respecting what he needed to do. After all, they gave him time to exact his revenge…
Perhaps his sense of duty and responsibility is going to be transferred to one of the heroines and that is why he is keeping an eye on them. Or they could be some other means to an end, a way of keeping the promise (not necessarily a positive/negative motivation). Ah, what a tangled web you weave… All of that and a one legged duck reference, well done.
I think the question is more, why did he want that? In panel 3, he could’ve said he was holding a little funeral, and either invited the ladies or just given them a chance to offer to pay their respects. But he didn’t. Why?
Good point, but he really doesn’t know them well. If so, I think he would have done the whole unburdening of “I’ve failed my sister and this is why, so would you want to help me?…” I think he is going to transfer the need to avenge his sister or finish what he promised her, to one of the women. Whether this is for nefarious reasons remains to be seen.
No no…she asked “Will WE see YOU again”… Not will you see us, Mr. Peeper…
Lol!

Those are exactly the kinds of questions I wanted you all to ask. 😀
Something seems seriously ‘off’ about Krag…
Yea…not so sure about that guy. 🙂
Nice to see Fiet coming down to join the party 😀
Umm, why are they drinking all of Bekha’s whiskey? Doesn’t that belong to her mother? o_O
Oh don’t worry – they will pay for everything. Maeye likes having (and spending) money.
No, had no doubts they would pay, it just seems like it should have been Bekha’s mothers booze they were going to deplete
Aaah. Yea. That makes sense.
You are also very beautiful Sha’
Yes she is. She just needs some love and confidence.
What a bun fest! The only sausage is peeping outside the window all creepy/moody.
😀
BTW: I saw the vote incentive…
