I think Arayanna jumped in his way. He was moving towards Maeye and Aray’s “to hell with my very recent death I am going to protect my girlfriend” instincts kicked in.
How unexpected, and awesome! Although it’s going to be a bit awkward later. I can see it now: Maeye wakes up after being unconscious for a day, still exhausted but overjoyed that Aray is alive:
Aray: “Thanks for saving me. Oh by the way, you’re the new god-queen of the lizardpeople.”
Maeye: “What.”
Aray: “Yup. And one of them, Morlansh, has decided to join our party. I assigned him to carry our gear. Or maybe it’s a her, I didn’t ask and have no idea how to check.”
Yea, I went with that white streak in the hair after a traumatic physical experience phenomenon. It shouldn’t be any lighter brown – I think that is just the lighting.
Panels 5-10 are wonderfully dynamic, the flow of your set pieces are the reason I love this comic. Although I wasn’t too keen on Aray’s new hair style until now, the highlight really suits the shorter look.
I am late to the party and beyond happy to see Maeye “Zaaapowed” her faithful companion back to life! I couldn’t help but insert some creative words of my own as I read Aray’s “Stay back!” exclamation. In those last few panels it looks at though she is wearing a blood red under bust corset! Intentional or not, nice touch! 😀
Yea…there was definitely and “m’fer” right there on her lips. She just decided to let that one slide. The corset look was an accident, but it is totally there. It’s pretty funny now that you mention it. 🙂
The Head Lizard knows superior majicks when he feels them. “I am at your command, O’ Princess of the Dark.”
Maeye: “WTF?”
Technically, Maeye is out cold right now
That is an appropriate Maeye response. 🙂
The lizard worships the boobs. I would have too.
Yea – me too, for sure. 🙂
The Lizard mistakes Arayanna for Maeye the Magi.

LOL! You are cracking me up!
Hey, you thought lizardpeople were hard to tell, with birdpeople you can go waaay out on a limb to get an answer and still get the wrong one :3
Oh. That was bad. 😀
Aray’s hair has changed! It’s now a lighter shade of dark brown, and it has a patch of white

Possibly the lighting, just in the first few panels it’s more of a solid black and in the last couple it’s more of a definite brown
I think you’re seeing Maeye’s hair around Aray’s head, since they are in a straight line and Maeye has slightly bigger hair.
Not in panel 13, when Aray was still on her back, and am able to tell the difference between brown and red hair thankyouverymuch 😛

Thank you very much!
What a page! You have outdone yourself, which is saying a *lot*.
Thank you very much! That is quite a compliment!!

You saw the under-corset girdle as well? Thought it was just me
I did! 😀
Maeye has a big lizard for a new friend 🙂
Makes me wonder how Sir Stick-in-the-mud will react to that!
Like a dick, most likely.
Yes she does. We should all have giant lizard buddies, I think.
That young man with glasses seems more than he appears.
Yeah, and he doesn’t even have a name!
Actually he does… Nihklas. Maeye calls him by name when she asked him to go get her staff.
Oh, she did? Musta missed that, thank you, it’s just that he’s not been tagged
Good catch! 🙂
Indeed he does!
