I suspect the tents are actually smaller than they look. I own a tent almost exactly that style (SCA use). And if they don’t have some pack horses, they aren’t going to manage to carry the canvas, let alone the poles. (If they were in a wooded area, fresh cut poles each night might, just, explain it, but not where they are camping.)
They certainly deserved a 2 week break! Love Maeye’s new outfit, I want that skirt and top! Enjoyed the panels with her and Endora. Another thoughtful, well executed page!
Hate to ask what Maye is covered with in panel 6. That series could have made a nice comic relief page by itself.
Once again our intrepid heros surge into the fray to get themselves involved with again being moving targets for the machine gun of fate.
I have tried my hand at animation a couple of times and that shit is no joke hard to do. Haven’t given up on it though. So who knows…maybe some day we’ll have some slo mo.
Thank you! Glad you liked that one. Sometimes I script these things out, and then I tried to make them work but it just doesn’t come out. That one came out exactly like I pictured it. π
Hmm, with her face mostly protected from the water, I guess it would depend on how forceful the water flow is, which in turn depends on how fer the water has fallen.
OK, on due consideration I’ll give you a pass on that one.
I’ve done that in the shower and managed to survive. It’s actually kind of nice getting a drink of water from time to time when you’re down there. π
The water in your shower is powered by pressure in the pipes, and emerges from a nozzle maybe 2 feet away from you. Hardly forceful at all, even if you dial the apertures down to minimum and turn it on full force.
We can see about 12-15 feet of the waterfall, but there is no clear indication of how much further up it extends. A 12 foot drop wouldn’t accelerate the water speed enough to have a significant impact, a 60 foot drop would be much more forceful.
Why the heck am I obsessing about this, anyway? I have weird turns of thought. Clearly they’re having no problem with it. I should just say “Hey! Waterfall sex! How cool.” and be done with it.
Hm. I would expect Aray to take more of the water impact than Maeye. I think it’s confusing because IMLE their position is a little odd for waterfall cunnilingusβ¦ However, given the water’s volume/spray transition we’re seeing here, I think there’s only 18′-24′ of drop, which is lower velocity.
It’s possible that their position is guided by subsurface rocks, but I’d expect them a half-pace closer, to make it significantly more comfortable for Maeye β imagine kneeling on river rocks vs sitting on river rocks. This would also mean much less arch for Maeye, but likely more(and in the other direction) for Aray. With that shift the impact of the water would be more comfortable for Aray, and she would shield Maeye from most of it, in addition to the position beingβ¦ cuddlier.
However, they don’t seem to be reacting to much impact from the water, especially not Aray. A mere 18′ would be a lot like the pressure that comes out of a shower, in which case it makes sense for Aray to take the impact in soft/vulnerable places, and the placement of a convenient river rock becomes more important. In addition, since Aray’s not used to being serious with a woman, she may be actually shying away from the cuddlier position, having backed up that half-pace.
So, Feori, it may have been better to put the top of the waterfall in-frame, but it works fine like this, but it suggests a “bookend” scene later: A taller waterfall, top out of frame and water vertical, Maeye sitting upright, Aray arching forward directly over her, taking the water impact on her shoulders instead of on her tits, cupping Maeye’s cheek, being all comfortable with being in love by then.
(And, I know why I’m obsessing about this. For the same reason this is one of my favorite webcomics :P)
Remember, in most cities, the water in your pipes can go up about 10 floors without requiring an auxiliary pump. That means it has pressure equivalent to falling that far. Of course it may be a significantly larger mass of water than your shower head produces, but it’s not generally at a higher pressure.
Oh, and after re-examining, it’s the same waterfall we see in the prior panel. Given their heights relative to rock features that are identical in the two panels, about 3x their height looks right.
Just wondering: was panel one in any way inspired by the image used in El Paso?
Obviously they are not the same, but just happened to be listening to that track when opened this page (again) and that silhouette made me think of the connection (did you know that “El Paso” was just the first of a trilogy? not me, only found that out yesterday)
Slight problem with the inn, it’s too close to the stream and at a lower level. Flooding a certainty, though that does not seem to be the current difficulty.
We can’t really judge whether the Inn is at a lower level or not (to me, it looks about level, that part of the stream that looks higher seems to be further way)
Also, you do know that some Inns have actually been built right on the banks of rivers, with no history of flooding
I think I’ve figured out what is wrong, but no time to fix it right now – I’ll just have to work around it. Hoping to have the page done by tomorrow night.
Loving panels five and six (specially five) βΊ
Almost missed the waterfall scene π
Five was one of my favorites too! Very glad you didn’t miss the waterfall. π
Seriously girls? You have a perfectly fine tent, you couldn’t wait in panel three to get inside first? π
Aw come on. π Fresh autumn air, bright starry sky, warm bonfire….how could they resist. π
The fact they are not alone? o_O

Just as well they have Wagon carrying the canvas then
Another excellent page.
Thank you!

Thank you! Would raise money to buy you the outfit if I new where it existed in real life. π Do they have Hot Topics in Ireland?
Sadly no. But when I visit the US I pack light and stock up while I am there. π
Let me know next time you are in the US. π

She got slimed.
Oh yes nice incentive can we get and instant replay in slo-motion?
You want an instant reply in slo-mo? They are barely even started!
I have tried my hand at animation a couple of times and that shit is no joke hard to do. Haven’t given up on it though. So who knows…maybe some day we’ll have some slo mo.
Ya HAD to say it, Maeye.
Murphy’s power extends all the way to Prentil. That bastard.
Somehow I don’t thinks Maeye got an “A” for the lesson taking place in panels 4,5,&6. Just sayin’…
Yea…she’s totally flunking magic school. Holy crap…red hair…freckles..sucks at magic…….she’s a Weasly!!!! OMG I just hurt myself laughing.
That a magic Bukkake in panel 6?
Hate to admit my ignorance on colorful slang, but I actually had to look that one up. Gross, but appropriate. π
At least it wasn’t white π
LOL! Indeed.
I really like the blurred horses in the last panel. It really gives a sense of speed.
Thank you. π
Next page might just be a picture of me giving my computer the finger if DAZ doesn’t stop crashing. }:|
Ooo, just noticed the reflection in panel thirteen, well done
You even remembered to reverse the image, most people forget to do that
Thank you! Glad you liked that one. Sometimes I script these things out, and then I tried to make them work but it just doesn’t come out. That one came out exactly like I pictured it. π
Waterfall cunnulingus? Isn’t Maeye risking drowning?
Hmm, with her face mostly protected from the water, I guess it would depend on how forceful the water flow is, which in turn depends on how fer the water has fallen.
OK, on due consideration I’ll give you a pass on that one.
Also, depends on how good she is with her tongue π

Nothing wrong with trying to figure out how things work, even in fiction

Face it folks, this is all just an excuse for you to scrutinize the image and spend more time staring and Maeye please Arayanna. π

Bah, made a typo. You need an edit button on the message page. At 3:30 AM my proofreading suffers.
Typos are all part of the fun! π

Eh. Perspectives a bitch. π
True
I don’t know what the fuck is going on, but DAZ keeps crashing on me. This is fucked. I am so pissed I can’t see straight.
