Is that a monster made out of stone ? I wonder how we can attack it and defeat him (or her) but the Great Bear is big and strong enough to give it a good smack.
It’s a great drawing with a nice horror-ish atmosphere perfectly suited for a dark cave.
The monitor that I work on at home is pretty bright. I checked this page from my computer at the office and it is definitely dark. I will try to brighten it up going forward.
I’m sure your new rig is more than strong enough to make rendering take less time. If it isn’t, then an Intel Core i9 would do better I think, but that one is quite expensive now.
AFAIK, IRAY rendering is magnitudes faster on GPU than on CPU, so CPU core count should’n matter as much…
I would rather spare more money on GPU, say 1080ti or even new 2080ti, if I would solely relay on my PC for rendering… currently I have 1070 and 1440p renders come between 30 min to 60 min, depending on lighting settings and complicity of scene…
Rendering wit CPU and GPU at the same tame actually hurts performance, but maybe i just have an old and under-powered CPU for that task…
that said, nevertheless, rig seems to be quite the beast… putting scene together and fine tuning it will most definitely benefit form powerful CPU Hope renders gonna come faster now… 🙂
New incentive coming this weekend. Maeye fans will be happy. 😀 And then new page next weekend, provided I don’t have too much trouble setting up the new rig.
Hello friends! Just a quick update…New computer is in and up and running. It has taken me a lot longer to get Daz and all my assets pulled together. I had over 10 years of crap on the old computer – going all the way back to Vicki 3 – and I did not want to port all that junk over to the new system, so I made the decision to just install things as I need them. While that is keeping things nice and clean, it is definitely adding to my workload. I finally have things up and running and am back to production rendering. I expect the page to be done by Tuesday – with much better lighting and quality too! Thanks for your patience. I think we will all be happier when this is all running smoothly again. 🙂

Yes, that is a big monster made of stone. Hurting it is definitely going to be an issue! 😀
Not if they use a mechanical drill, but where is the power supply ? 🙂
I guess that would be Maeye! 😀
Great page, once I figured out what was going on.
BTW, the “full rez” link points to page 13.
Thank you! I fixed the link – thanks for the heads up.
Go for the eyes, Boo!
LOL!
Wait, is that The Master’s TARDIS stuck in it’s back? o_O
What ever it is, they should be aiming for that!
I have to admit, I have never been a Dr. Who fan, so I had to look this one up. There will be some definite similarities to The Master and his TARDIS.
Too dark; had trouble following what was happening.

Well, they are in a series of underground caves, they tend to be, what was that word? Oh yeah, dark!
Personally feel, with the use of the ‘bubbles’, it is still possible to follow the pertinent action
Cool. Thank you.
Looks like we are getting some great votes for the costumes. I like both of the write-in ideas.
New computer comes Friday. I am super stoked! Check this badboy out…

You’re right, in this case you better focus on the GPU instead. Would SLI (2x Nvidea cards) or CrossFire (2x AMD cards) also help ?
I have read that DAZ and iRay do not necessarily benefit fully from dual video cards.
Yea. The Ti was tempting, but just put it out of my price range. Pretty happy with the new rig so far.

Still gonna have to get use to the new actress, butt she is beautiful (and not just her butt 😉 )

Looking forward to seeing all your hard work 🙂
