Or, Mr Bear is a ‘product’ of a different Soul-collector
Still feel this counters what you had established concerning Sha’, not that you had really explained everything, or maybe Fiet and the Kraggie’s pair are just different (specially Kraggie’s pair)
To be honest, don’t really know what is going on so will simply continue to read (and enjoy) and wait and see what comes next, rather than hold you to theories that are wrong
I am sorry if I am confusing things. We can talk it through more if you like. Sha’ag, Fiet, and Krag’s pair were all made by The Merchant. Mr. Bear is an ancient spirit who poured his own essence into a bear tooth ages ago. He does not follow the same rules as Fiet and Sha’ag and the others. For example, he does not necessarily need to wait to be summoned. π
When Sha’ag met the love gods, she was in her natural world (well, her new natural world, since Dalleon changed her root) and there she basically acts like any other person. She was able to interact with the love gods just like any of us would be if we were lucky enough to find them. π
Some spirits, when sommoned, only their spirit travels and their body stays behind wherever it is. This can be very inconvienant and is responsible for numerous car accident on some planets. Other spirits are fully summoned, meaning their entire body disappears from where it is and then their essence is transported to the summoner – like Sha’ag. Some spirits just live inside their token and do not have any other existence – like Mr. Bear. Some are more real when they are summoned than when they are at rest – like Fiet.
Please ask when you have questions! One of the traps of any storyteller is not explaining things well enough to your readers. It all makes sense in my head, but I have to be able to present things in a way that they make sense to everyone else. π
You are one of rare author slash creators: have come across too many who don’t like it when people (or maybe me specifically) ask questions about their story or point things out that may (or may not) be an error (word or art-wise)
Well those others don’t know what they are missing. I love talking about the comic with you guys. Our discussions have helped steer they story and shape this world. I think these interactions have made me a much better writer. π
Going back to rescue Verys could still work even if she doesn’t need rescuing: they go back, find her, and see if she needs rescuing, if not, they can just return and no messing with the Time Continuum (it’s what The Doctor does all the time… well, it’s what he intends butt always gets caught up in some shenanigans of some sort, that he totally causes π )
I can just see the Merchant filing the paperwork with the STCB (Space Time Continuum Bureau) then waiting until the blue police box shows up, “Your ride, ladies.”
The “traveling into the past creates an alternate reality” idea has always puzzled me. Seems like they’d create an alternate Dunverys just to be rescued. So the original Dunverys remains in whatever plight they wanted to rescue her from? So, um, why do it?

It will be discussed some more (once I figure it all out myself). The branching reality should only occur if the girls encounter someone or something sentient that they leave behind when they return to their own time. So if they can get in, get Dun, not get spotted by anyone who would know them, and get back out then it is possible they can pull this off without any branches.
Not any shaming at all, even unintentionally –
‘specially regarding these two –
’tis but meself giving accolades deemed as well earned.
(struggling a bit to see how you might consider my comment to be “shaming”.?.)
FWIW, would think: “… a rag, a bone and a hank of hair” to be actual shaming. (or did I misinterpret sarcasm?)
I honestly don’t know what her natural hair color is. π I think it’s black. The early renders of her have her with black hair. Not sure where this light blue came from. π
Woops, no page? Looking forward to another great plot twist !
Not sure what happened there!
Completely makes sense: he doesn’t force them into servitude, he asks them if they want to ‘move on’ or stay and help others
Still feel this is kinda contradicting everything we have seen of Sha’ though…
Mr Bear makes more sense
Some people he asks to volunteer, some spirits are stolen, so he’s not all sunshine and happiness. The girls still have a difficult decision to make.
Mr Bear is something completely different. The Merchant did not make him, Mr Bear made him himself.
Or, Mr Bear is a ‘product’ of a different Soul-collector

This just seems to contradict what was established with Sha’ when we first met her, and what happened when she met the fertility deities

Thank you for explaining π
Will do best to remember π

Iβm thinking more like Bill & Tedβs phone booth ride…..
That would be too funny!
LOL! I really should watch some Dr. Who. I get all the references, just never watched the show.
Yea – that’s pretty much going to be the plan. Thinking about time travel makes my brain wiggly. I gotta get through this plot line and moved on. π
If your brain doesn’t go all wibbley-wobbley from the timey-whimey stuff, then you are not doing it properly π
True that!

Typo in panel 5, “complicted” instead of “complicated”. Otherwise, like where this is going. π
Ah crap. I think I actually went a couple of pages without one. π
Wondering about the reason(s) Maeye has become so skinny-legged. She used to have more fuller leg curves.
Different actress
I didn’t notice that myself, but now that you mention it, they do seem kinda skinny. I see what I can do.
Thanks – she needs to return to being on par with Arayanna’s drool worthiness.

It was, mostly, a joke, knew you didn’t mean anything about it, you were just used to the previous actress π
Can we get a close-up of Fiet in that dress? It looks really pretty.
Thought you meant Sha’s dress at first, hadn’t noticed Fiet putting clothes on…
As requested.
thank you. love the leaf pattern. btw have we ever seen her natural hair colour?
