Bk1: Ch9: Pg3
1a.
Maeye: Leaving already?
Kraghen: No time like the present.
1b. .
Kraghen: Are you sure you do not want to go with me? Find your long lost sister?
Maeye: Nah. I think I am going to stick with Aray.
Kraghen: You sure?
Maeye: Yea. I need to help Aray save the sister she loves before I worry about a sister I never met.
2a.
Maeye: Can I give you some advice?
Kraghen: Sure.
2b.
Maeye: When you meet this Shalla, go easy on the "we're destined to be together" stuff.
2c.
Maeye: Just get to know her.
Maeye: And be yourself.
Kraghen: Mmmm.
Maeye: Ok, maybe a slightly more talkative version of yourself.
3a.
Arayanna: Good luck, Kraghen. Come home safe.
Kraghen: Mmmm.
3b.
Kraghen: Thank you.
Arayanna: For what?
Kraghen: Giving me a home to return to.
3c.
Arayanna: You are welcome.
4a.
Sir Syril: Maeye, are you ready for your...
Sir Syril: By the gods girl, put some clothes on.
4b.
Maeye: What? I'm wearing clothes.
6a.
Maeye: Hey!!
Sir Syril: This is combat training, girl, not flirting class.
Sir Syril: Now go put some clothes on and meet me in basement.
6b.
Maeye: That was quite a swat you gave me.
Sir Syril: It was just the first of many today, my young student.
Maeye: Bring it on, grandpa.
7a.
Akeena: Can we go outside and play in the snow now, Auntie Sans?
Ghi'Ku: Yes! Can we? Please!!
Sansraen: Alright, alright. I think that is enough chores for this morning.
Sansraen: Take these things up to Nihklas and then get yourselves bundled up.
78.
Maeye: Sansraen, this is Sir Syril. He is our resident Vhridan Knight and my personal ass-kickery instructor.
Sir Syril: Sansraen, it is nice to meet you.
Sansraen: Sir Syril, Nihklas has told me much about you. It is nice to meet you as well.
8a.
Maeye: Are you settling in ok?
Sansraen: Yes I am, thank you.
Maeye: Good! Then you'll be staying, right?
Sansraen: Staying...Me...I...
Maeye: Good. Come on old-timer, let the ass-kickery begin.
8b.
Sansraen: Staying?
8c.
Nihklas: That sounds good to me.
Great to see Syril again. This training should be fun to watch! And the art has improved so much — the character models look increasingly lifelike. Very impressive.
Thank you!!
Don’t discourage Maeye. She needs to rock her Bikini Armor™. It should give her a great advantage.
LOL. I think we do need some magic bikini armor. Might have to write that into the comic. 🙂
The menu was a nice touch, even if I can’t quite make out the last word on it.
Which menu is that?
I think that it is “Ducking Blonde”, “Bucking Blonde” or “Fucking Blonde”. It’s difficult to read the first letter.
Definitely an ‘F’ (or maybe a ‘P’)
Wait, on closer looks, it’s the same as the second word, so must be ‘Bucking Blonde’
Umm, why is half of the comments not showing? o_O
Only the last three listed under ‘Recent Comments’
I am not sure. That is bizarre. Trying to figure it out now.
That is so weird. They are showing in my dashboard, they just are not appearing on the page. :/
Same, if you meant the ‘Recent Comments’, clicking on them didn’t do anything either
Combat training in high heels? That seems like a messed up ankle waiting to happen.
People say that about running in high heels… then again, same people also say that about simply walking in them
Yea – the heels were a bit much, but at least she’s wearing pants. 🙂
From: HSishi
Well, if you have to learn to fight you should do that in clothes you usually wear. Two things can happen:
1. You learn to fight in the clothes you wear which might mean you have to adapt to a certain style or weapon you can use in said clothes.
2. You realize the stuff you wear usually isn’t useful in situations combats can happen and you adapt your garderobe.
Yeah, learn to fight in what you are wearing (or not)
From: Guesticus
No, no she doesn’t: they do everything ‘clothes’ are supposed to do, cover the bits that need covering for everyday purposes
If Sir Grumpy-pants had told her to put on training clothes, he would have had a point
Has Maeye learned how to press “pause” on her self healing? Because, she’s gonna want some boo-boos for Aray to kiss.
LOL! That would be worth rendering, too.
